The Holiday season is upon us, and there isn’t a better way to kick it off than announcing Virginia Lottery winners across the commonwealth. We had a lot of great winners during the month of October, so read on to learn more about these Lottery players winning big!

October 2020 Winners

We had over $17 million in prizes of over $1,000 claimed in retail prizes and over $1.12 million in prizes of over $1,000 claimed in online-games prizes across Virginia during the spooky month of October. That’s over 3,600 players claiming prizes that totaled over $18 million.

One of those winners was Charrondarous Goode-Burroughs of Richmond. She was gifted a winning $1 Million Royale Scratcher from her son as a wedding-anniversary gift.

“It said $1 million, but I truly didn’t think it was $1 million,” she later told Lottery officials.

“I couldn’t believe it!” she said. “I’m still processing it.”

Glenna Holmes of Abingdon stopped at Jimbo’s One Stop on Cummings Street and came out a winner after playing $500,000 Cash. “If I go to sleep, I’m going to wake up in the morning, and it will have been a dream!” she said as she claimed her prize.
