Big prizes were won HERE in November!

We’re back with the next update of our Big Winners map! Lottery players loved the first edition, so we’re excited to highlight the latest big wins that were claimed in Virginia this month. In November 2019, we had 1,490 winners of $1,000 or more and gave away more than $8,500,000 in prize winnings! But where were the winning tickets purchased?

As with our map of October winners, each dot that appears on the map shows more information about that prize including the winner’s first name, the game played, the prize amount won, the Virginia Lottery retailer that sold the winning ticket and the date the prize was claimed. Each dot on the map has a different color, which corresponds to a different category of Lottery games. Scratchers are green, draw games such as Mega Millions and Pick 3 are blue, and Print ‘n Play games, including Print ‘n Play Rolling Jackpot, are orange.

As a reminder, this map only shows prizes over $1,000 that were claimed in November. It does not include prizes that were won in Virginia that have not yet been claimed at one of our Customer Service Centers.

We ’re also excited to share information about winners from our Online Play subscriptions and MobilePlay. Online Play allows you to purchase a subscription for Mega Millions, Powerball and Cash4Life® directly over the internet. MobilePlay is available at Virginia Lottery retailers using the Virginia Lottery app. When at a Lottery retailer, you can play your favorite draw games using MobilePlay plus an exciting lineup of interactive e-games available exclusively in the app!

In November, we had over 370 winners in Online Play subscriptions and MobilePlay, and players won more than $166,000 in prizes. Because of the interactive nature of these games, the wins and prizes are recorded immediately, so winners don’t have to wait and come into a Lottery office to claim the prize. And because our Online Play winners don’t win at Virginia Lottery retailers (they can play from anywhere!), we do not include player addresses on the map; instead, we include the winner's city, state and zip code.
