The Virginia Lottery partners with The Tommy + Kelly Show for the Fall Teacher Tour

The Lottery is excited to once again partner with The Tommy + Kelly Show for its Fall Teacher Tour! For the past two falls, The Tommy + Kelly Show, along with the Virginia Lottery, has surprised hardworking teachers in Northern Virginia and gifted them with Georgetown Cupcakes, Lottery swag and more! This year looks a little different, but the tour has already made several stops and visited schools where teachers are going above and beyond to make students' learning experience the best it can be.

How does it all work? Our friends at The Tommy + Kelly Show asked listeners to submit nominations for teachers who are taking the extra step to help students with remote learning and other unique learning situations due to the pandemic. The nominations were incredible: teachers building desks for students to bring home, librarians driving books to students around their districts, a family of teachers/parents balancing teaching students with their own children's learning. Virginia's teachers are doing SO much, and we wanted to celebrate them!

In the past few weeks, show hosts Tommy and Kelly have surprised these deserving teachers with Georgetown Cupcakes, Virginia Lottery Scratchers and other surprises. There was even a video chat with Librarian of Congress Carla Hayden!
