See our latest Virginia Lottery winners from February

February was a short month with a lot of exciting news! Let’s check out the latest update of our winner maps, which highlight Virginia Lottery prizes over $1,000 claimed during the month.

February 2021 Winners

During February, we had over $8 million in retail prizes of over $1,000 claimed by over 1,500 players and over $1.6 million in online-games prizes of over $1,000 claimed by over 500 players across Virginia.

One of those winners was Gebremedhin Ogbazghi of Alexandria. When he stopped to purchase a money order, he also purchased a Supreme Cash Scratcher because he saw someone else playing it. Mr. Ogbazghi had his lucky day; his ticket was a $300,000 winner.

Wanda Canady of Norfolk also scratched her way to a $100,000 prize when she purchased a 10X The Money Scratcher. “At first, I didn’t think it was real,” she told Lottery officials as she claimed her prize. “I wasn’t expecting that much!” Ms. Canady even took the ticket back into the store and asked the clerk if it was really a winner. The clerk told her: “It sure is!”
